GREAT BRITAIN 1841 2d. plate 4, AA-AF strip of six, the 'violet-blue' shade on thicker lavender tinted paper, margins virtually all round (AE and AF just clear or touched on one side), on entire letter to New Orleans dated 2 April 1856, tied by fine clear strikes of the black "466" numeral of Liverpool, the address panel with red circular "br. packet/16/apr/24/boston" and corresponding "paid" and "5/cents" in the same colour adjacent; some light paper buckles and AF with bend caused by the stamp being partly lifted for examination and address panel with small internal split though in no way detracting from the wonderful appearance af this very rare and extremely attractive item.
