GREAT BRITAIN 1840 Two Pence Blue Plate 1: JI, in a wonderful deep blue shade, margins virtually all round (just clipped at J square), on envelope to London dated 16 July 1842, tied by superb light strike of the black cross, the address panel with albino embossed "pre-paid" in floral frame at top-left, fine strike of the black "clitheroe" double-arc datestamp at lower-left; the envelope with some light creasing or minor perimeter faults though not detracting from the fine appearance.
