Edward IV, first reign (1461-70), Ryal, 7.69g., light coinage, London, type VI, king standing facing in ship, rose on ship's side, banner inscribed e at stern, quatrefoil after franc, rev. rose upon a radiate sun in centre of floriated cross, large fleurs in spandrels, reads tranniens, trefoil and double trefoil stops, m.m. sun (Schneider 352 (same obv. die); N.1549; S.1950), creases show on the reverse, which struck slightly off-centre, otherwise very fine with an attractive reddish tone, scarce with mintmark on both sides Estimate £ 800-1,000
