Japan, Meiji University, graduation medal in military arts, silver, 30mm., dragon and legend "Military Arts", rev. legend "Military Arts Tournament, Meiji University, 1936 A.D.", almost extremely fine, not listed and presumably rare Estimate £ 60-80 This medal was awarded to war artists sent out by the Japanese government to Pacific areas to paint scenes that were reproduced on "Gunji Yubin" (military postcards for troops). It was taken from a Japanese officer in Borneo.
