An Interesting Group of Three to Bomb Aimer Flying Officer D.H. Loder, 62 Squadron, Royal Air Force, Killed, Together With Navigator Sergeant Eden, Anthony Eden's Son, During Operations in Burma, June 1945
Three: 1939-1945 Star; Burma Star; War Medal, together with medal enclosure document named 'Flying Officer D.H. Loder', and manuscript and typed letter dated 'War Office S.W.1, 12 July 1945, CONFIDENTIAL', Dear Mr Loder, I was so distressed to hear that your son was also missing in the same aircraft as mine. Please accept my very sincere sympathy in your anxiety. I enclose copies of two letters which I have recieved from Air Marshal Cochrane, the Commander-in-Chief, Transport Command. It has occurred to me that you might care to see these in case they contain any information which you may have not already had. Yours sincerely Anthony Eden. (3)
