A Collection of Pouches and Pouchbelts.
An officer's pouch of The Cheshire Yeomanry, with black velvet-covered flap edged with silver "bias-and-stand" lace and bearing massive Prince of Wales's plumes in embroidery; a red leather pouchbelt, probably for Royal 1st Devon Yeomanry, with 2 in. silver bias-and-stand lace and plain white metal fittings; a pouchbelt of The Cambridgeshire Mounted Rifles, with Light Dragoon style fittings and silver Vandyke lace with dark blue train (belt ornaments now missing), with companion black leather pouch, the flap edged with lace and mounted with Prince of Wales's plumes in white metal (tab defective); a narrow black leather pouchbelt, faced with gold lace as for RA officer's waistbelt, with buckle, tip and slide generally as for 15th Hussars; a fragment of pouchbelt, of 2¼ in. gold Vandyke lace on pale leather, possibly for 17th Bengal Cavalry before conversion to Lancers in 1900 (no fittings); an officer's white enamelled leather shoulder-belt with white metal whistle (chains and chain-boss now missing); and a black leather pouch, the flap edged with a foliate white metal border and bearing the Arms of Spain between palm leaf sprays (lot)
