An Austrian Naval Observer's Badge 1917-18.
A fine and very scarce piece by J. ZIMBLER WEIN VII, with wreath of bayleaves in white enamel on a massive gilt backing-plate, surmounted by a red/white enamelled shield inscribed K, and bearing the Arms of the Dual Monarchy at the base, the wreath mounted with the bronzed Albatross holding a gilt metal Thunderbolt, the reverse stamped with maker's name and with spring-clip fixings
