Military General Service 1793-1814, one clasp, Corunna (A. Thompson, Lieut, 81st Foot), minor edge cuts, good very fine

Lieutenant Arnold Thompson, born Yarmouth, Norfolk 11.12.1780 entered the 81st Foot as Ensign 1798; became Lieutenant 1803 and was appointed Paymaster 1805; served in Spain 1798-1802, Sicily 1809-12, Spain 1812-14, France 1814, Canada 1814-15, France 1815-17, Nova Scotia 1821-26, New Brunswick 1826-29 and Bermuda 1829; died Cheltenham 1858.
