D.C.M. London Gazette 11.3.1920 Lance Corporal Richard T.F. Parry, 34th Battalion, Machine Gun Corps. 'For conspicuous gallantry and good work during the fighting from 24th October, 1918, to 31st October, 1918. As a gun commander he went about his duties in a most able manner, displaying marked ability. On one occasion he salved a gun which had been put out of action, notwithstanding the heavy barrage he had to go through to carry out his work.'
