Austria, medal commemorating the 140th anniversary of the death of Mozart, published by the Vienna Academic Mozart Brotherhood on the occasion of the meeting at Vienna May 1931, bronze gilt, 50 mm., by J. Tautenhayn Jr., draped bust of Mozart right, rev. wiener / akademische / mozart - / gemeinde / der / internationalen / stiftung / mozarteum (Niggl 1439), red buckram covered case of issue lined with beige velvet and white silk, containing in the lid a dedicatory paper to Archduke Otto (b. 1922), inscribed Sr. Majestät Kaiser und König Otto als Gedenkzeichen Österreiche etc., medal practically mint state, case in good condition although the dedicatory paper a little faded, a unique piece of Austrian history Estimate £ 220-250 Possibly presented to Archduke Otto on the occasion of the meeting, May 1931.
