Owens, Hamilton Distinguished journalist, author, and educator (1888-1967). Two TLS "Hamilton Owens," each 1/3p, 8vo, on "Baltimore Sun" stationery, 1/23/1939, and 4to, on his imprinted stationery, 6/12/1940. Both are to Mano Swartz of Baltimore. In the first, he transmits [not present] "several letters which concern themselves with the piece in the Spillway about your habit of giving away libraries...Sincerely, Hamilton Owens." In the second, he writes of a book he is working on that has been set aside due to the war, but "If only the French would make a stand somewhere I think I would be able to go to work on it again."
