Great mounted Photograph, 6" x 8.15" [10.75" x 8.75" with mount], of the Golden West Baseball Club, ca. 1890s. Image by Samain V. Lagerborg of Portland, OR. The club was organized or sponsored by the Golden West Company of Portland, which produced coffee, tea, spices, extracts, and baking powder. The photo shows eight ballplayers standing in front of a carriage painted with their name, drawn by horses wearing a blanket that reads "Golden West / Baking Powder". Slightly faded or overexposed. Minor surface defects, chipping at edges of mount, otherwise VG. Estimate US$ 30-40
