Porter, Fitz John - Court Martial, 1878. Great tinted 11" x 16" Newsprint Engraving from Leslie´s, 7/20/78, showing the "Rehearing of the Case of Fitz-John Porter by a Board of Army Officers at the Military Academy, West Point..." Porter had been accused of insubordination for ignoring contradictory orders by John Pope at Second Bull Run (Manassas). He was exonerated in the 1878 trial. Minor stains at right edge, otherwise VG.
