Book: "The Nigger" by Edward Sheldon. New York, Macmillan, 1910. Small 8vo, blue pressed cover with gilt title, spine. A handsome edition of Sheldon´s play that, despite its unhappy title, is by no means anti-black. It is a melodrama about a successful Southerner who learns that his father was raised as white though he was a black man who could "pass". Some rubbing of cover, minor tear in half title, otherwise VG/F. Estimate US$ 40-50
