Wall Street: NYSE 1903 and the Kings of Finance Outstanding Photogravure of Richard W. Rummell´s depiction of "The New York Stock Exchange with Trinity Church and Wall Street," published by Moses King in 1903 upon the completion of the new Exchange building. It is surrounded by 112 halftone photographic images of the members of the exchange, prominently featuring such giants as J.P. Morgan, John D. Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, Jay Cooke, W.C. Whitney, Marshall Field, Russell Sage, Charles M. Schwab, Levi P. Morton, etc. The piece is contained in a fine frame, by the New York Frame & Picture Co., for many years at 29 John Street. It came into the consignor´s hand in the purchase of the old firm Hanson & Hanson, owned by Arnold & Willmer Hanson, who said that if the picture was wanted, the buyer would have to acquire the firm to get it. No wonder they had a long and successful career on Wall Street. Overall size a grand 30" x 39". Dampstain at very bottom, touching but not obscuring some names in the bottom row of portraits, but overall VG. This item was put together in 1903, and is not one of the later reproductions that became popular. Fine for a collector or institution! Estimate US$ 750-1,000
