Mahon, £1000, London, 15th May 1925, serial number 05/S 09988, (EPM B222 Plate Note), in PMG holder 35 Choice Very Fine, paper maker's notch, Ex Lou Manzi Collection, an incredible rarity and the only known in private hands. The purchasing power held by this note at the time of printing would have been astronomical, roughly equivalent to the price of a comfortable suburban home or a Rolls Royce!
