The weight standard of between 17 and 17.5g of the copper coins struck during the Nepalese occupation of Sirmur does not correspond to any standard in other Nepalese hill areas or the ones used in the Kathmandu valley. The local name of this coin type is unknown; tentatively they are referred to as “paisas”
