1668 An order of payment produced for William Ashburnham, the "Coffer of His Majesties Household" for the sum of £30.10s.

Interestingly, this payment was one of the first orders produced after the introduction of Downing's reform to loans on taxes granted in the 1667 Act.

Signed on the right of the document by the Duke of Albemarle, Sir Thomas Clifford, and John Duncombe: a list of signatures from some of the most powerful men during the tenure of the cabal ministry under Charles II.
