Ireland and the Civil War
1636-49, a trio of documents with relevance to actions in Ireland:

1636 (27 Sept.) ALS from Thomas Wentworth to an unnamed lord giving his opinion in the case of London's malfeasance in its lands in Ulster, writing "there is a treaty with the King by the citty to compound their fine, and to be restored to their lands and segnoryes in Ireland" advising further that £1,000 is due for the last fishing and must be reserved for the crown.

1642 (7 October) warrant signed by the Lords Justices and Council in Ireland ordering payment to Captain John Hill of HM Frigate 'The Falcon' of £12, signed by Sir John Borlase, Sir William Parsons, Sir Gerald Lowther, Sir John Temple, Sir James Ware and Sir Adam Loftus.

1649 (18 Sept.) letter signed from Major-General and Admiral Richard Deane aboard the Phoenix in Milford Haven concerning “22 Caske of old meat wich being too badde to spend in the fleet [or] Army” that he had intended to send to London in the Merchant of Ipswich for disposal (“...This day the Charles & Mayflower goeing hence, that Collyers ship (the Merchtt of Ipswitch) by a mistake thinking they were bound for the Downes, & might bee a Convoy for them, went out along with them without ordres, and was gone past recall before I knew of her departure: Shee hath in her much Emptie Caske, & stinking Beere, wch was intended to bee retorned to the Brewers...”), and asking them to deal with the beer that they “may hereby doe a service to the State”
