During the 1960s-1980s Bulgari expanded beyond traditional jewellery into a broader category of luxurious “objets de vertu,” producing finely made gold accessories intended for both personal use and display. Alongside watches, lighters, minaudières and compact cases, pill and snuff boxes formed an important part of this production, reflecting the firm’s emphasis on bold colour and architectural form.
