Perforated Colour Trial
On 28 August 1883 De La Rue sent a series of 2c. stamps, all perforated 12, to illustrate their suggestions for new colours so that these would fit in with the colour scheme laid down by the International Postal Convention. They were all printed from the 2c. plate to save labour.
The scheme was approved by the Labuan Administration, and the Crown Agents informed De La Rue of this on 17 April 1884
