Original Master Die Proof (Stage 2) without value, in brown on thick card (100x78mm.), proofed on 30 Aug. 1912, the upper garlands completed; incomplete circles on top frame line; centre horse's head and Britannia's arms, dress and foot unshaded, the dark horse has a ring of white around the mouth and only light shading on the hoof; endorsed on the reverse "I have this dated 8/30/12 ....no shading neck of centre horse .... blue".
