Plate 8: GC, large to enormous margins all round and showing portion of the adjoining stamp at foot, tied by an upright black Maltese Cross cancellation to entire to Bradford, on reverse High Cross St. Leicester u.d.c. and arrival datestamp of 7 May 1841; JL, part of sheet margin at right and large margins other sides, on entire letter from Ipswich to Norwich dated 16 Dec. 1841; Plate 9 GI, good to large margins, tied to entire from Manchester to Bolton with dated markings of 6 July 1841 both with fine black Maltese crosses; also DI and EE, both with good margins all round, used off cover, DI with fine and central number "9" in Cross cancellation; scarce on a "Black" Plate. A good group.
