1857 (21 Nov.), entire to Ayr, franked 1d. with Pearson Hill experimental Machine code A cancellation, with a "mirror" impression of the cancellation and Ayr arrival on the reverse; also 1858 (30 March), piece franked 1d. cancelled by a superb strike of the Pearson Hill experimental "Opera Glass" (2nd. machine, modified) cancellation. Both very fine strikes and a scarce duo. Photo.
