Bettaney" 2d. unused (ink spot), used and on ½d. postal stationery card, 3d. black on yellow used (3); "T. Collinge" 2d. mint and used (3), one with handstruck "6" in red (number of parcels), 3d. black on yellow-buff unused (with "GM/&S" perfin and used (2); also Main Parcel Co. 6d. blue and small City Parcel Express Pass; Sutton & Co. (Manchester) 1883 (c.) large-size 2d. red, 3d. blue, 4d. green and 6d. brown set of four mint; also used stamps in mixed condition with 3d. and 4d. (2), 1885-90 (c.) a collection of the small-size stamps with "carriers" 2d. to 6d. set of four mint (scarce) and used with 2d. (3), 3d. (3), 4d. (2) and 6d. (3); "general carriers" 4d. (2) and 6d.; "manchester/general carriers" 4d.; "chief office" 2d. (2), 3d. blue (4) and 3d. pale turquoise (4), 1890 Prepaid Stamp, undenominated with mint examples in red, green and in purple plus a used example in brown making the complete set of four; Sutton & Co. (Leeds) 1890 (c.) Prepaid Stamp; 2d. in bright red, a horizontal pair cancelled on small piece with control numbers "40956" and "40953"; Foster's Parcel Express with 1874 Fore Street with black on white (12) including a pair and lower corner stamp showing "J" control in the margin; black on pale turquoise with a mint pair and used (12) and black on pale green used (3); Queen Victoria St. black on white and black on buff overprinted "24lbs"; Newcastle Office with St. Thomas St. 2d. blue paid and 3d. red-pink pair; 30 Prudhoe St 2d. blue mint and used and 3d. red-brown mint and used, 1892 (29 Feb.) part parcel wrapper with the address label to Bath bearing Fore Street black on white label tied by pencil stroke; and Cheshire with some of the different issues, without designer 4d. on greenish (2, one defective), 6d. on blue and 1/- on white; a similar design with name "B.j. Hirt" 4d. on blue (thins) and 1/- on white (2); intaglio design with 4d. green and 6d. blue plus fancy design 3d. red (on small piece) and 6d. blue. Mixed condition, an important group.
