An impressive, predominantly mint collection of the Scottish companies on leaves with Aberdeen 1867 unused group with ½d. yellow-brown (5) including a horizontal strip of three, ½d. slate-blue (9, one defective) including a lower margin vertical strip of three and one showing cracked plate variety; Clarke & Co., Edinburgh 1866 (½d.) blue, a collection on pages showing a range of shades from pale to deep dark blue including blocks of six (6) which clearly show the different width of the stamps, one left margin block on deep blue shows a double paper fold resulting an a small part of the printing missing; Dundee 1867 unused selection with ¼d. reddish purple (2) and ¼d. dull scarlet (3) one with lower margin (light horizontal crease); unused, one large part original gum; one with pin hole; Edinburgh and Leith 1865-66 ¼d. olive-grey imperf. in a block of thirty four with full original gum; also ¼d. dull mauve imperf. in a block of thirty six from the right side of the sheet, 1866 ¼d. grey-lilac in a block of sixty three (3 stamps missing from the sheet), 1897 "12 Elder Street" ¼d. red-brown in blocks of sixty seven and sixty four being two halves of a near-complete sheet, also Parcel Delivery Company 1865 collection with ½d. green (thin), 2d. yellow-bistre (7) plus horizontal pair with double roulette and block of thirty-eight, 3d. red-brown (3, one creased, one defective corner), 1866 collection with 2d. yellow imperf. (13) and roulette (3), 3d. brown-red imperf. (9), roulette (11) and pin perf; Glasgow 1866 ¼d. black imperf. in a block of fifty four (2), ¼d. black pin perf.10½ in a block of sixty five (rare), ½d. dull scarlet in a complete sheet of sixty six and a range of singles: ¼d. black pin perf. (16) and perf.3, ½d. dull scarlet imperf. unused (2) and used pin perf. (3) plus cracked plate variety. An important group well worth careful viewing
