1861-1920, an impressive collection with 1866 "An Act to amend The Telegraph Act, 1863", an 1853 letter from Plymouth recommending the use of telegraphs for sending information to the Times Office in London, documents relating to the erection of a pole and non-delivery of a telegram, 1895 Post Office Telegraphs 25 year souvenir card, unused Post Office and Submarine Telegraph form in black on green and in red on green; Inland forms: 1870 1/- green on large format sheet, dated 22.11.69, die 2, overprinted "specimen", 1871 1/- green, large format sheet, dated 1.11.71, die 5 with Millington & Hutton imprint on reverse, 1890 6d. purple overprinted "specimen" type 9; Ship Letter Telegram; Priority envelopes; undenominated forms with Q.V. Government Despatch, K.G.VI Government Telegram, Prepaid Reply Form printed in blue and 1904 Form for Press Telegrams only; Eastern Telegraph Company selection with 1874 letter suggesting using "Via Falmouth" on future messages, a group of telegrams and their special envelopes which include Q.V., registered at the Post Office, Eastern Extension from Rangoon plus a small collection of Imperial Wireless Services and Cable and Wireless including their illustrated forms and special envelopes; Railways with examples of North Staffordshire Railway, Great Western, Great Western and Midland, Cheshire Lines, Lancashire Yorkshire, London Brighton & South Coast, North British, Midland, LNER; also Electric Telegraph Company 1816 3/- blue, serial number "4387". Usual mixed condition though many fine and a good collection.
