Plates (both partly overlapping the edge of the envelope) cancelled by Brighton duplex with London and Mauritius (29.6), 1d. pink envelope, 1880 (16 Mar.) envelope to Liverpool cancelled by Brighton duplex; William Paul 1d. pink envelope with stamp 4, 1870 (23 Apr.) to Peebles and cancelled by Waltham Cross duplex; James Vancaillie: 1d. pink envelope with black printed collar, 1889 (26 Mar.) to Germany, uprated with ½d. vermilion and 1d. lilac, cancelled by London S.E. squared circle; Alfred Smith & Co.: 1892-95, a group of these unofficial stationery envelopes, most with illustrations of the company offices, with ½d. vermilion uprated 1d. lilac (4) to Germany, 1½d. yellow uprated 1d. lilac to Belgium, 2d. lake-red uprated ½d. vermilion to France and 6d. purple plus 1d. pink (2) both registered to Switzerland or France.
