The Half-Price Closed Letter Company, a small selection (4) with 1889 (4 Aug.) used from Barnsley to Macclesfield, based on Henry Court's Patent Safety Envelope and features Bird's Custard Powder with stamped address panel with advertisement affixed to remainder of lettersheet; 1891 (27 June) a general edition featuring the chromo-litho illustration for A Chemist's Novel in Two Chapters; used from Paddington to Nottingham and redirected to Bulwell with printed message from the Letter Company seeking agents for their half-price letters; also Wednesbury edition featuring Craddocks' Wonderful Boots and Rye edition featuring the chromo-litho An Investor's Novel in Two Chapters both unused. A scarce group.
