A collection on leaves with first issue overprinted "specimen" in red letters (2, unfolded), unused (unfolded, light soiling), Cancelled by Maltese Cross (2), 1844 (20 May) from London to Brecon cancelled by a superb strike of numeral "4", handstruck "1" and London Paid tombstone, an important cover as the earliest recorded dates of these London postmarks is 17th May; various early usages including a correspondence (4) from Taunton to Bromley, three with Taunton Penny Post datestamp; redirected with additional 1d., on blued paper unused (2) one printed "Brought of John Dickinson & Co", used (2), on azure paper unused and used plus some other including cut-outs. Also a collection of cut-outs of the 1881 series sorted by dies (114) between dies 1 to 228. (26 covers)
