An interesting and diverse collection in two albums which commences with 1793 wrapper "On the Bufinefs of the Corn Act, 31 Geo. III", 1819 Land Tax Redemption entire, a group of Free franks, Returned Letter with enclosures, a range of entires bearing manuscript "O.H.M.S.", printed entires including Tithe Commission, Peace Office Drogheda, handstamps including Admiralty, Royal Courts of Justice in blue, red or purple, Court of Protection, circular "official/paid"; South Kensington Museum with 1865 c.d.s. in blue and 1872 crowned boxed handstamp in blue, various government departments with some better, a selection of unused registered envelopes including a blank proof showing make-up, used registered envelopes, Constable's Office Tower of London, consular mail including from the British Legation, Tripoli, plus others to recent. Also a collection of franked mail with some better frankings, taxed mail and many others. A very good and varied collection, worthy of examination. (198 covers)
