Mail to Europe: four to France with 1855 entire letter to Marselle bearing Small Garter 4d. deep carmine on blue glazed paper strip of three with perf. 16 1d. tied by London '19' numeral; 1855, 56 and 61 three envelopes to Paris, first bearing Medium Garter 4d. deep bright carmine on highly glazed paper tied by London '16', 1856 with Medium Garter 4d. carmine on glazed paper tied by '5' numeral, and 1861 bearing Large Garter 4d. rose strip of three tied by '87' duplex; 1857 (Jan and June) envelopes to Berlin, the first with Medium Garter 4d. carmine on blue glazed paper vertical pair tied by '647' of Robertsbridge', the latter with Large Garter 4d. pale carmine on ordinary paper (2) tied by '325' of Guildford; and four further 4d. covers to Austria bearing 4d., 1d. (2) and two 1d. pink stationery cut outs, Holland and Portugal (2), one with 1/-, 4d. pair and 1d. A wonderful group.
