A collection of used stamps on pages, nearly all plated with emphasis on the Maltese Cross plates, most stamps have margins all round, mostly good to large with some useful duplication of the early plates and includes plate 26 SG-TG pair, plate 34 PH-PI pair with fresh printing, plate 36 GF-HH block of six, plate 39 GJ-GL strip of three, piece bearing nine examples from plates 29 and 31, plate 71 AI-Al strip of four, plate 141 PD-QE rejoined block of four plus RE from the same sheet. Also 1842 (22 Aug.) wrapper to Selby bearing plate 20, CH in a deep red-brown shade cancelled by a neat strike of black Maltese Cross, redirected to Clitheroe with plate 17, PB in a paler shade, margins just touching to very large and cancelled by a different Maltese Cross, with a fine strike of Selby c.d.s. (23.8) in blue and faint Clitheroe arrival (24.8), the reverse with Blackburn despatch and a second transit c.d.s. (24.8). A useful lot. (c.200+)
