In Blue: Scotland: 1847 (6 July) entire to Aberdeen bearing 1841 1d. plate 71, RE-RF pair (good to large margins, just cut into one corner) tied by two strikes of "222" of Lumsden in a bluish black shade (stated as "bottle green") with undated despatch at left. Also 1848 (23 Jan.) envelope to Glasgow bearing 1d. pale red-brown (good to large margins) tied by "179" of Holytown in a bluish green, the flap opens to display the despatch datestamp. 1849 (4 Feb.) Penny Pink envelope to London cancelled by "515" of South Cave in dull blue with the appropriate c.d.s. on the reverse. (3 covers)
