Barnard Castle: 1843 (13 May) entire to Leek bearing 1d., BE (good margins) tied by a dramatic Maltese Cross with debris-filled outer ring and no central diamond, the flap with despatch and arrival c.d.s. plus Newcastle transit; two vertical creases, clear of the adhesive and markings and light soiling.
