Plate 9: LD-LG strip of four, large margins on three sides, close or cut into at foot, on 1843 (12 May) wrapper to Bramptom, Cumberland, each cancelled by number 12 in Maltese Cross, the reverse with London despatch c.d.s. There is a horizontal folding crease which had been reinforced with adhesive tape (now removed) which has left an oil stain, a vertical crease and some wrinkling. S.G. A2wl, £2800+. Photo
