KD with good to large margins on 1840 (18 Nov.) wrapper to London, tied by an apparent orange-yellow Maltese Cross with boxed Anstruther despatch datestamp in the same colour on the flap (which opens well for display). There has been some reaction between the ink and the paper with some of the postmarks oxidising to blackish, and it has previously been described as having been painted in, the impression on the adhesive is fairly unaffected. Once with Brandon Certificate (2010) no longer present. Photo
