NE-NF, OG-OL pair and strip of six, the margins are, in general, close to large but touching in a couple of places, with part right margins showing the inscription, on 1840 (18 Sept.) entire to Taunton cancelled by red Maltese Cross with a faint, undated Castle Cary postmark at left, some folding creases and light soiling. The contents are a list of freeholders in the village of Babcary. R.P.S. Certificate (1998) which notes, "some stamps defective, lifted and replaced, and creases have been ironed out".
