1842 (11 May) first type envelope with side panels lettered "V" and "A" (non serif type) addressed to Paisley, the address side with Strathaven boxed datestamp and Edinburgh transit. the reverse with boxed Paisley arrival, there is a manuscript "1" in red ink to denote postage paid.
