1851 (14 July) this beautiful pictorial envelope to Brighton bearing 1841 1d. red-brown, plate 100, NK (small to large margins) cancelled by London numeral, the reverse with the despatch c.d.s. and Brighton arrival (15.7) in blue with the fancy-type lettering of "shakespeare" on the flap. Good to fine and an early date for this design. Photo
