Nuneaton Union
1841 (10 June) the entire lettersheet to Coventry bearing 1841 1d. red-brown, plate 10, FD (close to large margins all round) tied by two strikes of black Maltese Cross (contrary to regulations) with a light strike of the framed "No. 1" at left; the reverse with a faint strike of the Coventry double-arc c.d.s. in red; there are two light vertical folds well clear of the adhesive and do no detract from the wonderful appearance of this extremely rare entire. Only five or six covers are known, this is possibly the only one bearing the original 1841 adhesive (the others with Penny Blacks). B.P.A. Certificate (2004). Photo
