1915 (April 9). Cover from Durres to Vienna, bearing 2nd Issue 40 pa. with the red ink overprint variety, applied using Essad Pasha’s signet ring, tied by bilingual "durazzo" c.d.s., correctly franked for the foreign rate but nevertheless taxed on arrival, apparently due to the franking not being recognised, with Austrian postage due 1h. (overlapping the edge) and 4h. on arrival cancelled by Vienna c.d.s. Very few covers are recorded with this combination franking. Michel 14.
