1913 (Aug. 23). Cover from Fier to Istanbul via Vlora (24.8) (transit on reverse), bearing 1913 1pi. ultramarine for the correct 1 piastre tariff, tied by Fier c.d.s. in purple. Taxed on arrival with framed bilingual “T” marking, as the Albanian stamp was not acknowledged as valid by the Ottoman postal administration. Some overall ageing, still quite fresh and rare non-philatelically inspired cover with an unusual cancellation. Michel 7.
