1855 (18 Aug.) envelope from Great Britain to Bombay, bearing two Great Britain 1847-54 1/- embossed cut-to-shape (paying double letter rate), cancelled with boxed "street" cancel, received and forwarded to Almorah on the North-West Frontier with India 2a. green pair (four margins, just touching at top-right corner) affixed and tied by "1" in diamond of bars (Bombay), addressed to an officer serving in the 3rd Bengal Light Cavalry, endorsed "via Southampton" on face, Bombay transits (15 Sept. and 23 Sept.) on reverse, tear on flap, but a rare and unusual forwarded letter.
