"A85": 1869 (4 Sept.) opened-out blue officer's envelope to Northumberland via "Southampton", bearing G.B. Q.V. 1d. plate 79 (6) cancelled by neat strikes of the "A85" barred oval and marked "Naval Officers Letter", the reverse with Hong Kong transit and North Shields arrival (7.11) and notation on the reverse indicates that this was sent from Yokohama; the cover and one adhesive with small repairs.
