1909-13 Essays
A requisition was passed to De La Rue on December 15 1909, calling for a new one-colour issue. During the next few years the printers submitted a number of different essays each with a vignette based on the "Badge of the Colony" but none was ever accepted and the idea was finally dropped.
"I" - 10/- stamp-size composite essay, design as "G" but vignette in violet-grey and frame in bluish violet, horizontal format, affixed to card (90x115mm.) marked "Dupl", and dated "Jan 12th 11". Photo
