A mainly mint collection written up in an album with a good range of perf. 14 shades in good to fine quality and many with good provenance including Simon Hensman and 'Cottonwood', commencing with a good group of ½d. shades (6) including olive-green and bronze-green, 1d. (5), 2d. (24) including S.G. 127, 128, 130, RSC B and a perf. 15 example of RSC K, 2½d. (6), 3d. (10) including RSC B/ S.G. 136a (3), RSC D and RSC J (ex Cottonwood), 4d. (16) including RSC A (2) and RSC B [2] showing Hook in Queen's ear and with perf. 15 (3) in varying shades, 5d. (11) including S.G. 142 and 143, RSC A, B, C, etc., 6d. (14) including S.G. 145a, RSC A, E and H, 8d. mint (9) including RSC B and C and used (3) with RSC B and variously cancelled 'bulawayo', 'gwelo' and 'salisbury', 10d. (3), 1/- (7) including S.G. 151, 152, 152a and RSC D, 2/- (4) including S.G. 153, 154 and RSC B 2/6d. (6) including S.G. 155a from the right of the sheet plus a used example, 3/- (2) including RSC A with long gash in Queen's ear and used, 5/- mint (6) and used (11) and 7/6d. used (3) in varying shades and with different cancellations; generally good and plenty fine, a valuable collection, catalogue value in excess of £28,000
