Bank Melli, Iran, [2 notes] *TOP POP* 100 Rials, ND (1944), consecutive serial numbers N/793629-30, (Pick 43), both in PMG holders 66 EPQ Gem Uncirculated, tied for finest graded on PMG census, already very rare in this exceptional condition and absolutely unmatched in appeal as a consecutive pair. 100 Rials was the highest denomination of the Harrison & Sons series and is the rarest banknote type of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi's reign. Most of the limited 900,000 print run were destroyed, making it difficult to find an example in any condition, let alone as a consecutive pair in Gem Uncirculated condition (2 notes)
