Bank of Bombay, India, *TOP POP* 25 Rupees, 1855-56, serial number 37667, (Pick S111a, Jhun&Rez 1B.1.2.2), in PMG holder 10 Very Good, one of only 3 graded on PMG census, both others also 10 Very Good. In this remarkable example, however, we have no NET, nor any additional comments by the grader. The Bank of Bombay issues are extremely elusive in any format and denomination, but especially issued notes and the 25 Rupees denomination even more so. A relatively intact and visually appealing example such as this will be an unmissable opportunity for any collector of India. The only other example of this type to have been offered previously was by Spink in 2009. An astoundingly rare note.
