Bank of Scotland, [in support of Crisis UK] Polymer £20, 16th August 2021 (2026), Limited Edition Scott McTominay Design, serial number CM469550,

One of only 100 notes featuring this design, and only 50 available to the public. This celebratory banknote was first announced in June and features Scott McTominay's iconic bicycle kick goal against Denmark during the World Cup Qualifiers last November.

Working with Scottish illustrator Katie Smith, and with Scott McTominay's permission, the Bank of Scotland created this one-off illustration to celebrate the extraordinary goal.

Unlike other formal commemorative banknotes which are specifically produced using banknote inks and fully protected after the printing stage, this is a standard issue that has been printed and finished, onto which a standard ink overprint has later been added.

Won through an internal Bank of Scotland Charity Ballot and now offered for sale by the recipient in support of Crisis UK. Proceeds from the sale will be donated to Crisis, Bank of Scotland's official partner charity, supporting its work to end homelessness in 2026.

In addition to offering the note, the recipient, along with 59 of her Lloyds Banking Group Colleagues, is also trekking 100 kilometres across the Himalayas over five days in support of Crisis UK and the Simon Community in Northern Ireland.
